Sometimes you just have to pretend you’re doing something that you’re not really doing. Maybe you want to be left alone. Maybe you want to look smart. Maybe you want to look stupid. The moral is, we all tell lies.

Au Natural

I'm not actually against camping, although I generally like to take it one night at a time.
My favorite part is the campfire, of course. And cooking breakfast! And packing everything up to leave is usually the pain in the arse of the trip. My tip: don't forget to pack some type of light source. It gets pretty dark out there!

Twinkle, twinkle, you know the rest

Apparantly, there have been several close-calls over the past couple of years of meteors almost hitting the earth. Big ones that can do a lot of damage. And basically, there's no real system set in place to watch out for this stuff.
I say apparantly, because this is second-hand information, and I can't back it up with a link or anything.
Somewhat related is this awesome podcast (thanks Paul): The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe
